Why oil-based fragrance lasts longer

Concentrated natural oils versus alcohol sprays — what changes on the skin, and why the smaller bottle is better value.

A Mundo Fit Natural cologne from the oil-based fragrance range

Alcohol evaporates. Oil does not.

Most high-street fragrance is largely alcohol. It projects loudly for the first twenty minutes because the alcohol is carrying the scent into the air as it evaporates — and then it fades quickly, because most of what you sprayed has gone.

An oil-based fragrance sits on the skin instead. It is quieter at first and lasts considerably longer.

Concentration and value

Because our colognes and perfumes are concentrated oils, you need noticeably less per application. A smaller bottle therefore goes further than the size suggests.

They are also free from harmful chemicals, which is why they tend to suit people whose skin reacts to conventional sprays.

Where the scents come from

Every fragrance in the range derives from plant-based sources — flowers, fruits, herbs and spices — extracted by steam distillation or cold pressing.

There are four colognes and four perfumes. Message us on Instagram and we will talk you through the current line-up.
